History: He was born in the north. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.
