Personality: She is quiet and unassuming. She ignores others and carries on with her job unassumingly. Helja is a bit of a follower. Usually she is manipulated by her brothers into helping them out, but recently she has become more of a free agent.

History: Born in the west to a Map Maker, Helja learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. Her parents were killed by dire rats in a raid when she was still a young child. The dire rats captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. She now owns her own business.

Personality: She is quite rude, and likes to deride her opponents skill and shout insults at them. She claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day she will do what she thinks is right.

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Description: This man is very fat, and is wearing a long, brown, dusty cloak. He keeps his cinnamon fur in a flapper bob. His otherwise smooth face is marked with small tiny scars.

Personality: He is filled with cunning. He likes to feign weakness letting people think he is weak. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing painting.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. In his 13th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

Personality: She is business-like. She takes instructions and follows them to the letter. She spends most of her days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There she gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: Kite lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She helped her mother out around the business and became quite the natural. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure. She picked a direction and started trekking.

Motivation: Regain custody of her daughter; and she is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs
