History: Born in the south to a Beggar, Zephan learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Personality: He is a jovial happy person, but he is convinced people are living their lives too quickly. He takes great joy in being the best Baker in town.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Baker arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Description: This light-skinned female is dressed in earthy colors with a white and blue handkerchief worn on her right side. She is tall, broad shouldered and powerfully built. Her silver hair is knotted and matted. She tend to wears goggles to shield her eyes.

Personality: While she acts the brute, she is far gentler than she would appear. She dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. Her biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: She was born on a small isolated farm. Ekk liked to wander the woods near her home when she was young, something she still likes to do at least once a week. She never liked modest clothing or shoes, so she would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and she developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Personality: This man loves writing and to teach people writing more than just about anything. Bucklal enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Description: This woman wears very tight pants and wife beaters, though occasionally she sports a grey coat. She has a penchant for wearing a ring with an oversized opal on her left hand. Her long chestnut hair is drawn into a two foot long braid. Her face is covered beneath a completely black helmet.

Personality: She dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the south. Any perceived weakness will be pressed and exploited. She is seen as merciless and passionate.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Gillyd grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Gillyd. After months of barely getting by, Gillyd managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, she made her way to the capital under a new identity.

Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help.
