Personality: She dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the north. The war was a terrible time for her, and Makaria does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: Makaria was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and she feels kind of lost in life

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His martial abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He was granted martial powers by his dying brother.

Description: This woman is very fat, and is well dressed, constantly wearing a red suit, brown shirt, and pastel tie. She has a long red ponytail with little hanging trinkets. Her eyes are amber and catlike.

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Verna isn't afraid of most anything. She has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Halfling unity. Verna is a bit of a follower. Usually she is manipulated by her sisters into helping them out, but recently she has become more of a free agent.

History: Born in the south to a Actor, Verna learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. She found a children's book about a Halfling Commoner who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She has became unsatisfied with her lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.
