History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His parents enrolled him in a Commoner school at a young age so that he could practice his arcane talents. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by brigands. Gerald was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the brigands.

His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
