History: When he was but 3 years old his parents immigrated from the west. Through the years after Varis was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Varis's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He would like to get married and retire.

Personality: He is filled with cunning. He likes to feign weakness letting people think he is weak. He would rather hide behind his crafts than deal with other people.

History: Kriv hails from a village terrorized by goblins. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and a deep hatred of goblins

Description: A plain young-adult man, he does not wear sleeves and tends to eschew shirts when he can avoid it. He keeps his long chestnut hair kept up in a rat tail. His amber eyes dart from person to person to random spaces in the air.

Personality: He misses his glory days as an athlete. He does not mind his job, but it is boring in comparison. He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: He was raised in a mountains tribe. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. Being a Courier kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: He wants random interesting trinkets and junk, hates to throw anything away; and a rival would like him out of the picture

Description: This tall, slender man wears a well pressed and immaculate suit (or dress). His black fur is braided into rings. He has a dull look in his blue eyes.

Personality: He trusts no one. He is not readily capable for forgiveness and his ire never leaves him. He feeds upon the attention of others.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. In his 16th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Further expansion of business; and wants to open a new tavern

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the north.
