History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. A serious injury left her father unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm father. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Ruler for hire.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
