History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

History: Orsik hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. He took after his mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his mother taught him to defend himself. When his mother died while fighting gnolls, the young Orsik began to lead the lost caravan. After a long history of fighting, Orsik and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it; and a deep hatred of gnolls

She has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. She wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: She can speak with the recently deceased. Energy wise she seems alert and responsive.

History: She comes from a rich eastern family. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: Nikki lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. She has worked as a Butcher like her father before her.
