History: He comes from a rich eastern family. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his father's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered goblins who tried to eat his hand. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Qemuel hails from a village terrorized by brigands. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Tiefling conditions. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Qemuel fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Her father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.
