History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a orcs raid, leaving Alston alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: Wants to have a good time and be beloved; and many orcs want him driven away

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Oda grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Oda.
