History: Gilbert hails from a village terrorized by illithids. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Born in the east to a Baker, Ranala learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. She was an apprentice working in her mother's forge. She bought a glaive and has really upped her game hunting, due to her understanding of decoy and ambush.
