History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. After a long history of fighting, Shane and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and to pay off his debts
