She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by giants. Vonana was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the giants.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and she desires to right it; and she made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it
