History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions

Personality: She tends to agree with only herself unless someone else's opinion sounds like she can profit from it. She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. She is afraid of women and trembles around them

History: Born in the west her family was never financially stable. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: She is business-like. She takes instructions and follows them to the letter. She is used to getting what she wants. In part because she is a meticulous planner.

History: She was raised in a desert tribe. Her father took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by illithids. Xanaphia was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the illithids.

Motivation: She's looking for her big break; and a deep hatred of illithids
