History: Born to a Servant, his father struggled to pay the bills. Through the years after Gale was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Gale's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help

History: Quarion was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
