History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. A serious injury left her mother unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm mother. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: He has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. He is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with his big mouthed big gutted partner. His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He tends to his Merchant job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Her first spouse was a Scribe, they had one son, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Shoemaker and was forced into it by her family; and wants to raise her children well
