History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Gnomish conditions. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Pearl was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Fighter, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Fighter in service of a powerful lord somewhere. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Server hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor.
