History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. His mother took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Bertram fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: Here is a woman who knows she is the smartest in the room. She talks down to others constantly. She is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: She comes from a rich western family. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.
