Personality: She is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help her friends. She considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. She takes great joy in being the best Spice Merchant in town.

History: Mary lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Like her father and her sister before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Spice Merchant. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Spice Merchant.

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Richard isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Human unity. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage son.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. His father was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion.

Description: Runty and weak-looking, she wears a custom-built plate barding that's adorned with tan lining and desert motifs. Her silver hair is cut short with large spiked bangs in the front. Her voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: She shows great sympathy to all travelers. She's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. Her brief stint in the army gave her the idea she was invincible and that she is the toughest woman alive.

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. While she appears to be a normal Gnome, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and she wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
