History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Ruloth was born with her father's beautiful face. Her arcane abilities were realized during a raid on her village. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Personality: A grumpy gal she will invite people to lunch so she can critique them. Yet she still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. She can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: The child of western immigrants she idolized her mother. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Guard. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: She is unsatisfied with her job; and balancing her hectic life and new guard responsibilities is difficult

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: He was born in a small mountains village. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and he is greedy
