History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Quarethon was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He has achieved small success as a Fortune-teller.

Personality: She has schizophrenia that causes her to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. She works hard and plays hard.

History: Born in the north to a Cartwright, Merla learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. Merla abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure. She picked a direction and started trekking.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Dwarven artifacts is her passion; and wants her loneliness to end

Personality: A deeply religious woman she believes everything happens for a reason. She is always in debt, since she spends her money on lavish parties and gifts for friends

History: She was born at the edge of vast mountains. Her father took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. She bought a rapier and has really upped her game hunting, due to her understanding of decoy and ambush.

Motivation: She is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs; and wants to work out more often
