History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. Through the years after Paelias was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Paelias's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

History: She was born into a rich family. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Barbena grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Barbena. She leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever she goes.

History: Shamash hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. While he appears to be a normal Dragonborn, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He was granted divine powers by his dying sister.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it; and he wants revenge against dire rats
