History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Through the years after Mary was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Mary's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Tiefling activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Tiefling doctor. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

After coming to the age of reason, Flame took it upon herself to study the divine arts in their entirety; because of this, she was labeled a dark omen and banished from her homeland. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Darrow lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.
