History: Vaina hails from a village terrorized by orcs. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Vaina grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Vaina. She has never given up on her writing dream.

History: Valafar lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Interpreter they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Laborer, and he later adopted a second son.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and doesn't want to be a laborer and was forced into it by his family
