History: Valanthe was born with her father's beautiful face. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Crown-heir. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Crown-heir for hire.

Motivation: Further expansion of business; and balancing her hectic life and new crown-heir responsibilities is difficult

Personality: Salanop speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. She is clearly well-traveled and educated. She loves teas. She is very sensitive about her face. To blow off anger she lifts weights and to control her otherwise explosive temper she works out a lot.

History: She got into the Cartwright business at a young age. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister.

History: He got into the Merchant business at a young age. His childhood dream was to be a Fisher, but he was a colossal failure. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
