History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Painter and was forced into it by his family; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

His first spouse was a Dyer, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 14 years.
