History: Varis was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Wizard, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Wizard in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

Personality: His voice, at times compared to that of a Nymph, lambasts those who consider themselves "civilized" with snide, belittling remarks; the subtle growl he speaks with growing louder in doing so, one can find it most pronounced, despite the otherwise natural purity of his tone. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His parents enrolled him in a Wizard school at a young age so that he could practice his necromantic talents. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
