History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Varis alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Azaki hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. At a young age his father died while driving off some dire rats. His mother being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in hand crossbow use. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.
