Personality: He acts crazy and hedonistic. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Cartwright hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the north; and balancing his hectic life and new cartwright responsibilities is difficult

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Heian was orphaned to a temple shortly after his birth.
