History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. When Laucian reached his early adolescence his Elf mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: Varis is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: Varis was born the youngest of three triplets. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Baker they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Dilettante, and he later adopted a second son.
