The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Through the years after Paelias was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Paelias's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by brigands. Paelias was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the brigands.

He constantly seizes attention wherever he goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. He likes to think of himself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Mason for hire.
