History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Fivin alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Elven activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Elven doctor. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Paelias hails from a village terrorized by goblins. After coming to the age of reason, Paelias took it upon himself to study the druidic arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and he desires to right it.
