History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Rael was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Rael alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Brewer. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Brewer for hire.
