History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. A freak accident while working with his Locksmith mother left him crippled. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Mindartis was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Sage hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He got money to start a business from the gang present in town. He is greatly indebted to them.
