History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Quarion grew up listening to his mother's many stories. Quarion was orphaned to a temple shortly after his birth. History: He comes from a rich western family. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Mindartis was raised in a hard working conservative environment. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Elven conditions. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
