He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Description: Wearing a closed helm and plate, one would not know what he was had he not made sure his armor was more form fitting than normal. Outside of the suit he wears a robe, a symbol of his god around his neck, and a spear on his belt. He keeps his long golden hair kept up in a rat tail. His gray eyes peer out from beneath his top pastel hat.

Personality: Prone to second guessing himself, he comes off as nervous. He is underhanded and not above using his wealth and body to get others to do his bidding.

History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Varis fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
