History: Born to a Marshal, his mother struggled to pay the bills. A gifted student he started as a Marshal, but he got bored and became a Mercenary. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Mercenary and was forced into it by his family; and to reunite with his absent mother

Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: He was born into a rich family. His parents were killed by dire rats in a raid when he was still a young child. The dire rats captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it; and someone believes him a fraud
