History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Arannis was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: Regain custody of his daughter; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother
