History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Through the years after Varis was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Varis's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.
