History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Hadarai was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He worked as a nervous Navigator and found it very stressful. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

His smile is extraordinarily sincere though he does not smile often.

Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. He also is a firm believer in the manly ideal.

History: Fivin hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. He took after his father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his father taught him to defend himself. When his father died while fighting dire rats, the young Fivin began to lead the lost caravan. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
