There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. He plays an instrument quite well.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Armorer arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Through the years after Varis was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Varis's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His childhood dream was to be a Body Guard, but he was a colossal failure. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Further expansion of business.
