Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. He is obsessed with his god.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Varis was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Varis was born on a far western desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Performer. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.
