His red hair is smooth and relatively long. His blue eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. The war was a terrible time for him, and Aelar does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. He cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: He was born in the east. When Varis reached his early adolescence his Elf father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.
