Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. Varis enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Through the years after Varis was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Varis's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC.
