When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Heian grew up listening to his father's many stories. He worked as a nervous Cook and found it very stressful. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He tends to his Guard job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.
