The family never returned to the mountains due to the painful memories there. Dayereth took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up lance and armor he uses now. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He is happy with his job as a Layabout. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.
