History: Vanuath lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever he goes.

He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Elven activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Elven doctor. After a long history of fighting, Halimath and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats; and he wants revenge against dire rats
