His mother taught him the rudiments of the Cartwright arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Peren was born on a far western island where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Cartwright. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Guard who has hired him part-time. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Stableman. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.
