History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, gnolls burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying north to reunite his family. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

The family never returned to the mountains due to the painful memories there. Quarion took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up shortbow and armor he uses now. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
