His shirts and pants tend to be short and undersized for him due to the difficulty of finding a good tailor. His hair is long and blonde with streaks of auburn, and is pulled back with small black clips. His beard is auburn, braided, and well cared for. His eyes are hazel and catlike.

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with writing. He constantly tries to fill his life with writing. He is obsessed with his god.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Varis fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
